All his life, he’s been entertaining his mates – without even knowing it. It was only when the big butcher was thrust onto live TV, to raise money for the Queensland floods, that the rest of Australia got to laugh along too. Millions were watching the flood telethon and Dobbo stole the show. Leila McKinnon was in stitches and exclaimed – ‘A star is born! A star has been born tonight in Condamine!’ and Karl Stefanovic chipped in with ‘Twitter is going nuts..’ Dobbo is in high demand and has loads of mates that are plumbers!

Ben Dobbin will be joining the Plumbing and Gas Industry Awards as the Master of Ceremonies for the first time in 2023.

Shannon Ruska – Welcome to Country

From the age of 8 years old Shannon Ruska has been living the dream of bringing culture alive. His father and many Aboriginal uncles and aunties over the years have instilled his heritage into his heart and soul. In his Career he has educated over 15 million people globally via live stage performance, Welcome to Country speeches and TV appearances on China TV, France Television stations, American TV Series ‘The Left Overs’ alongside US Television stars Regina King, Liv Tyler, Scott Glen, and Justin Theroux.

Shannon Ruska will be joining the Plumbing and Gas Industry Awards to provide the Welcome to Country for the first time in 2023 thanks to our Welcome Partner, Cook’s Plumbing Supplies.
