Patrick’s attention to detail, outstanding workmanship and ‘sky is the limit’ attitude made him the clear winner for the Queensland Apprentice of the Year category.
Originally studying carpentry, his passion for plumbing was ignited when he realised the variety of work that the field brings. He would like to one day start his own business working on both residential and commercial buildings.
Patrick’s employer described him as the future of the company and said that you might get only three apprentices like Pat in a lifetime.
“Being involved in the plumbing and gas awards has really shown me that apprentices are a huge part of the plumbing industry’s future, and creating awards that appreciates the efforts and skills developed by plumbing apprentices promotes other young men and women to consider joining the industry also.”
