Service Excellence Award

This award, proudly supported by ServiceTitan, recognises plumbing businesses that have achieved outstanding results through initiatives demonstrating a commitment to service excellence. Both domestic and commercial businesses will be considered for this award category.

Eligibility

The below requirements must be met to be eligible for this award category:

  • Companies must be QBCC licensed in the relevant field (plumbing, drainage, or gas fitting).
  • Companies must be based in Queensland, Australia.
  • Companies must provide proof of service excellence through customer and supplier testimonials from the past two years.
  • Companies may be nominated by the business owner, a staff member, or an external party.
  • All work must be available to judge through photos and video evidence.

Nominees will be evaluated based on:

  • Timeliness – Demonstrated ability to complete projects on schedule while maintaining high service standards.
  • Work Ethic – Commitment to quality workmanship, reliability, and professionalism within the business.
  • Client Needs – Ability to identify and meet customer expectations through tailored services and problem-solving.
  • Communication – Clear and effective communication with clients, suppliers, and staff to ensure a seamless service experience.
  • Value – Delivering high-quality work at a competitive price while providing long-term benefits to clients.
  • Industry Development – Active contributions to the improvement of the plumbing and gas industry, including mentorship, workforce development, or community involvement.
  • Customer Satisfaction and Reputation – Positive feedback, reviews, and testimonials from clients reflecting the company’s strong service focus.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement – Implementation of new strategies, technologies, or processes to enhance service delivery.
  • Community Involvement – Demonstrated commitment to supporting the local community, including participation in charitable initiatives, local events, training programs, or industry-related outreach efforts.
  • Completion of the nomination questionnaire, providing insights into the company’s service excellence initiatives, customer engagement strategies, and industry contributions.
  • Submission of a minimum of 10 high-resolution photos showcasing the company’s work, team, and service initiatives.
  • Optional: Video footage showcase the teamwork, service initiatives, engagement strategies or industry contributions.
  • Customer testimonials highlighting the company’s commitment to service excellence and/or community engagement. Testimonials must be from the past two (2) years.
  • Supporting documents may include letters of support from relevant business-related contacts, such as plumbing supply store representatives, business coaches, accountants, or industry professionals.
  • A limit of one nomination per company applies.

Failure to submit any required information by the stated deadlines may result in disqualification.

Following the completion of the judging, all finalist businesses for this award will be notified and invited to attend the 2026 Plumbing & Gas Industry Awards. All award finalists can purchase tickets at the finalist rate (limit 10 per finalist) – equal to the early bird member discounted price.

Finalists may also be asked to participate in media opportunities but will be contacted first by MPAQ to assess interest.

If you are the winner of this award category, you will receive:

  • A trophy, gift and certificate.
  • Public recognition at the 2026 Awards Presentation Dinner and a feature in the Summer 2026 edition of the Master Plumber Magazine.
