Provide Answers
Tell us exactly why you, or your nominee should get an award. Use the full word count and answer every question.
Gather Support
Contact your customers, business partners, mentors, coaches, accountants and gather letters of support. The more the better.
Show Your Passion
The judges want to see how this award would benefit you, and how much the industry has affected you and/or your business.
Photo Requirements
Photos and videos are a key part of the nomination and judging process and should be heavily considered when lodging a nomination.
Judging and Usage: Shortlisted entries will be judged using photographs and video footage. Winning entries’ photographs and video footage will be used in the Awards audio-visual show and for promotional purposes.
Quality Control: Photos with people, obscure objects, or poor composition will not be accepted.
Tips for Better Photos: Simplify the scene, fill the frame, pay attention to lighting, and use a variety of viewpoints. Landscape (horizontal) shots are preferred for presentations and promotional materials.
Copyright: Master Plumbers’ Association of Queensland retains the copyright or license to reproduce all photographs.
Apprentice Categories
Photography Requirements: A minimum of ten photographs of the nominated individual in landscape format. Videos are also encouraged. Recommendations: Include a formal headshot and an action shot of the individual on the job, as well as shots of work completed by the apprentice.
Project Categories
Photography Requirements: Minimum of ten photographs of the nominated project in landscape format. Videos are also encouraged. Recommendations: Variety of shots highlighting main features of the project before, during and after completion where possible.
Business and Individual Categories
Photography Requirements: Minimum of ten photographs of the nominated individual or team in landscape format. Videos are also encouraged. Recommendations: Include a formal headshot (team shot for business awards) and an action shot.
