Nominees will be evaluated based on:

    Demonstrates genuine passion for the plumbing and gas industry. Shows dedication to learning, professional development, and long term career progression within the trade.
  • Technical Skills and Competence
    Exhibits strong technical ability and practical skills relative to experience level. Consistently produces high quality work and adheres to safety, compliance, and industry standards.
  • Work Ethic and Reliability
    Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and professionalism. Is dependable, proactive, and willing to go above and beyond in their role.
  • Initiative and Problem Solving
    Shows the ability to identify challenges and contribute practical solutions. Embraces new methods, tools, or technologies to improve outcomes.
  • Team Contribution and Culture
    Makes a positive contribution to team dynamics and workplace culture. Supports colleagues, apprentices, or peers and demonstrates respect, collaboration, and leadership potential.
  • Leadership and Future Potential
    Displays emerging leadership qualities and the potential to become a future leader within their business and the industry.

Submission Requirements

  • Completion of the nomination questionnaire
  • Submission of a minimum of 10 high-resolution photos showcasing the candidate’s professional achievements and participation in the industry.
  • Examples of performance, initiatives, and contributions, supported by testimonials from employers, supervisors, or peers
  • Evidence of relevant training, qualifications, and industry involvement
  • Failure to submit any required information by the stated deadlines may result in disqualification.

Presentation Details

Following the completion of the judging, all finalist businesses for this award will be notified and invited to attend the 2026 Plumbing & Gas Industry Awards. All award finalists can purchase tickets at the finalist rate (limit 10 per finalist) – equal to the early bird member discounted price.

Finalists may also be asked to participate in media opportunities but will be contacted first by MPAQ to assess interest.

If you are the winner of this award category, you will receive:

  • A trophy, gift and certificate.

  • Completion of the nomination questionnaire, providing insights into the company’s service excellence initiatives, customer engagement strategies, and industry contributions.
  • Submission of a minimum of 10 high-resolution photos showcasing the company’s work, team, and service initiatives.
  • Optional: Video footage showcase the teamwork, service initiatives, engagement strategies or industry contributions.
  • Customer testimonials highlighting the company’s commitment to service excellence and/or community engagement. Testimonials must be from the past two (2) years.
  • Supporting documents may include letters of support from relevant business-related contacts, such as plumbing supply store representatives, business coaches, accountants, or industry professionals.
  • A limit of one nomination per company applies.
